Podcast 104 :  Our Christmas selection will be the original version of The Man Who Knew Too Much  shot in 1934.  A thriller with lots of British humor but no Que Sera Sera.  Starring Leslie Banks and Edna Best as a couple trying to find their daughter who was  kidnapped by the odious Peter Lorre complete with a skunk tail streak in his hair.  Will they find their daugter in time?

Podcast 105 :  The new year starts with a Hitchcock' 1954 masterpiece Rear Window.  Jimmy Stewart is an photographer healing from a broken leg filling his days  watching the activities of his Greenwich Village neighbors .  Is one a murderer? (Why does the phrase Peeping Tom come to mind?) Grace Kelly stars as his girlfriend .  Which window will Hitch show up in?

Find out the answer to that McGuffin, in Hitchcock's 1935 English thriller of the same name.  The 39  Steps stars Robert Donat as the man accused of a murder as he makes his way through Scotland and England  searching for clues to what are The 39 Steps, with Madeleine Carroll in tow.  Find out what people did before the advent of search engines.

Podcast 107 :  The movie covered in March comes with the descriptive title The Lady Vanishes.  This 1938 Hitchcock British thriller has Margaret Lockwood losing an elderly friend (Dame Mae Whitty) mid train ride that nobody seems to remember being there.  Michael Redford supplies the love interest.  It includes the hilarious subplot of two Englishman desperate to get to London from Eastern Europe for a cricket match( Nauton Wayne and Basil Radford).   Hitchcock does love his trains.

Podcast 108 :  Our April podcast features Hitchcock's 1946 film Notorious .  This  movie stars Ingrid Bergman as the daughter of a traitorous American businessman that is recruited by G-Man Cary Grant to spy upon a group of expatriated Germans in Peru.  Complications ensue when the two become romantically involved, while Bergman's assignment requires her to accept the marriage proposal of lead German Claude Rains.  Party Hitch hits the bubbly.

Podcast 109 :  Our May podcast features Hitchcock's 1950 film Stage Fright.  This  movie stars Marlene Dietrich as a woman seemingly framing a murder on a younger lover Richard Todd. He is aided by his friend Jane Wyman who goes undercover as Dietrich's maid to prove the young man's innocence.  The McGuffin is a bloody dress.  A standout supporting performance by Alister Simms as the Commodore, and an insightful cameo by Hitchcock.

Podcast 110 :  Our June  podcast features two  Hitchcock' films for the price of one in 1928's thriller Blackmail.  The movie came at the time studios were changing from Silents to Talkies and this one was filmed in both formats simultaneously.  A young girl played by Silent film star Anny Andra fends off an attempted rape and in the process  kills a young artist.  Her boyfriend is a police detective who protects her from a blackmail attempt.  Andra's Eastern European accent was so thick that another actresses voice was used in its place.  The Hitchcock cameo last a couple minutes and is one of his funniest.

Podcast 111 :  Our July  is one of Hitchcock's most famous 1963's The Birds.  The movie stars Tippie Hedron as a young women of means who decides to present love birds to the sister of a man Rod Taylor that she met briefly in a San Francisco pet store.  The young man lives in Bodaga Bay which for unknown reasons is set upon by the local bird population of seagulls and  blackbirds in what seem to be organized attacks.  The Hitchcock cameo comes early and is easily recognizable.
